Ronald Lee Jones, 82, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1941 in New Castle a son of the late, James Floyd and Vera Ella (Armantrout) Jones.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ronald loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and just being outdoors. He was also an avid lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Ronald was a 1959 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and veteran of the US Airforce. He had been employed over the years with Chrysler Corporation, Firestone and Allegany Steel where he retired in 2003.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Frances Jones, children, Rhonda Anderson and Ronald Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Kasey (Shanna) Anderson and Celeste (Nate) Marcum; great grandchildren, Kiara, Hollie and Hunter Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hasty.
