Rose M. Stewart, 60, of Winchester passed away peacefully with her family at her side Friday, July 5, 2013 at I.U. Ball Hospital in Muncie. She was born June 5, 1953 in Muncie, Indiana.
She attended Muncie Southside and was employed at Muncie Novelty for over 30 years. Rose was a member of the E.E.C.R.C. and the Hoosier River Watch. A lover of animals, she adopted many kinds of pets. She enjoyed boating on Brookville Lake, watching sports and NASCAR. Spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren, was her favorite past time.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Sid Stewart of Winchester; four children: Gregory Ferrell of Muncie, Melinda (husband, Michael) Erdel of Muncie, Scott (wife, Hannah) Burke of Burlington, Kentucky and Courtney (husband, David) Burger of Winchester; eight grandchildren: Tyler & Taylor, Katelyn, Kylie & Kelsey, Seth & Eli, and Elena; four great grandchildren; one sister: Patricia (husband, Steve) Medecke, Sr. of Muncie; father-in-law: Robert D. Stewart of Farmland, many brothers & sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Dovie (Buck) Felton, a brother: David Lawson and a granddaughter: Mia Burger.
Services will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at New Lisbon Christian Church, 7996 E. 550 N., Union City, IN with Pastor Susan Deverall and Keith W. Allhands officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Rescue Fund, 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.
