Rose T. Vaughan, 94, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Mrs. Vaughan resided at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born October 21, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Walter R. and Mary E. (O’ Connor) Gresimer.
She was a personnel counselor and owned Rose Personnel Service in Lafayette for several years and for 18 years in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was the recipient of several placement awards and retired after 27 years. She had previously been responsible for the layout and management of the new Bedspread Department at Nettle Creek Industries in Richmond, Indiana.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter: Teresa Ann (husband: Michael) Thalls of New Castle; two granddaughters: Stacey Lynn (husband: David) Sadler of New Castle and Stefanie Anne (husband: Tom) Jeffers of Fishers; one great grandson: Brennan Sadler; four great granddaughters: Lauren Nicole Perkins, Megan Corinne Perkins, Shelby McKenzie Knotts and Haleigh Anne Jeffers. She is also survived by a niece: Elaine (husband: Dennis) Boyd of North Carolina; a nephew: Bobby Murphy of Georgia; and a nephew Kenny (wife: Debbie) Murphy of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: David V. Vaughan and three sisters: Marie E. Murphy, Edith Gresimer and Muriel Clare Gresimer and a half brother: David Schulthise.
