Ruby P. Groce, age 85, of New Castle, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born February 17, 1926 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Perry and Cora (Wray) Walcott.
She retired from the City of New Castle as a custodian and was active with the Democrat Party.
Survivors include a son, James M. (wife, Tonya) Groce of Murraysville, PA; two grandsons, Bradley (wife, Kendra) Groce of New Castle and Clinton Groce of Pittsburg, PA; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Groce, March 5, 1999; five brothers and four sisters.
As per Ruby’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to donors choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
