Ruby Lucille Miller, 97, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, October 14, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis following an extended illness. She was born June 25, 1912 in Salem, IN the daughter of Thomas and Elsa (Spaulding) Hinds.
A 1930 graduate of Salem High School, Ruby was employed as a medical secretary for the New Castle state hospital for 30 years.
She is survived by a son: Vaughn (wife: Betty) Miller of New Castle; daughter: Sharon K. Goble of Shelbyville; grandchildren: Debra (husband: James) Dick of New Castle, Bryan J. Miller of Greenwood, Brent Miller of New Castle, Shannon Goble of Shelbyville, and Joe (wife: Anna) Goble of Lafayette; four great grandsons: Bradley & Brandon Wolfe and Christopher & Jonathan Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur J. Miller; brother: Russell Hinds; daughter-in-law: Linda Miller; granddaughter: Teresa Miller; son-in-law: Don Goble.
Services will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, October 19 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Captain Shannon Benner officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM prior to the funeral.
