Russell Allen Meredith passed away November 14, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born February 10, 1945 in New Castle to the late Virgil Don Meredith and Emma Christine Owens.
Russell was a Combat Veteran who served honorably in the US Army 82nd Airborne Infantry to include missions in Vietnam and Korea. He was a long time resident of Dunreith, IN.
Russell was previously employed at the Carmel Clay School District as a mechanic. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years but most important to him were collecting stamps, photography, fishing, marksmanship and shopping for antiques. He was an amazing dad, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Russell leaves a huge gap in the lives of all he has touched.
Russell is survived by his wife, Trudi Meredith of Baltimore, MD; his ex-wife and friend Nancy Meredith; his sons, Russell (Heather) Allen Meredith II of Columbus, OH, Jim (Stephanie) Meredith of Cape Coral, FL, Rob (Tina) Meredith of Cicero, IN, David (Heidi) Curtis of New Castle, Jason Curtis of Baltimore, MD; daughters, Suzzann (Monte) Bottoms of New Castle, IN, and Melissa Savage of New Castle, IN; four grandsons, Jimmy and Parker Allen Meredith and Zackary and Brayden Curtis; eight granddaughters, Leah and Coral Meredith, Savannah and Patience Antrim, Brigitte and Brinklee Curtis, Annie Bean and Gina Woodard; brother, Richard (Marsha) Meredith; niece, Cherie Meredith; nephew, Richard Meredith, Jr.; numerous close friends and a special friend Linda Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Charly Curtis.
