Ruth Ann Sander, 91, formerly of Ogden, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. She was born September 10, 1928 in Dunreith, IN the daughter of Ferdinand and Linnie Mae (Longwell) Kraft.
Ruth Ann was a homemaker, although she did work at Mayhill Publications for a short period of time. She was a member of the Ogden United Methodist Church and a longtime member and officer of United Methodist Women. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and was a good seamstress, making the bridesmaid’s dresses for James and Sara’s wedding. Ruth Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a son, James (Sara) Sander of Ossian, IN; grandchildren, David (Jenni) Sander of Knightstown, Crystal Ann (Dan) Payton and Timothy Josiah (Jenny) Sander of both Ossian, Elizabeth Faith Sander of Decatur, IN; great grandchildren, Emily (Andrew) Pence, Allison Sander and Ben Sander all of Knightstown, Reid, Brynn, Ross and Zane Payton, and Nathan James Sander all of Ossian; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Junior Sander; son, David Alan Sander; sister, Barbara Sullivan; brother, William “Bill” Kraft.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday.
