Ruth Ann Burke, 63, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 11, 2010. She was born September 29, 1946 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Howard and Bercie (Hoover) Cleek.
Very devoted to the Lord and her family, Ruth Ann loved to hear preaching, loved praying, and loved music. An avid Colts fan, she would open her home to anyone in need.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 45 years, James “Burkie†Burke of New Castle; three children, Bryan Burke of Greenwood, Kenny (wife, Brandie) Burke of Springport , Jama (husband, Jim) Todice of New Castle; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Burke of Spiceland; nine grandchildren, Jeff Reynolds, Kendra Burke, Jarred Burke, Kelly Burke, Tyler Burke, Jason Burke, Drew Burke, Mitchell Lowe and Joshua Fox; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Faye Crawford of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Gray; a sister, Judy Gregory.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
