Ruthanna Jeffery, 93, of Greenfield, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield. She was born October 13, 1919 in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of William R. and Rev. Edna (Harvey) Redick.
She was a 1937 graduate of Westland High School in Rush County. She retired from the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home following 22 years of service.
Ruthanna is survived by a daughter: Beverly Ann Marshall of Greenfield; grandchildren: Max (wife, Colleen) Marshall, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Nancy Ann Marshall of Mt. Vernon, WA, Mary Sue (companion, Mark) Grothe of Nahalem, OR, Gretchen Hendrickson (partner, Debra Auger) of Columbia, MO, Jeffery (wife, Angel) Tranter of Tomahawk, WI, Pamela (husband, Jimmy) Little of Spiceland, Kim (husband, Andy) Saunders of New Castle, Timothy Duncan of Fort Myers, FL, Sandra Preston of WV; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Harold (wife, Violet) Jeffery of Knightstown; one niece and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Phillip V. Jeffery; two daughters: Mildred Esther Hendrickson, Patricia Kathleen Duncan; grandsons: William V. Duncan; and great grandson: Mark Thomas Marshall.
