Ryan Andrew Neal

Ryan Andrew Neal, age 29, of Raeford, North Carolina and formerly of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence following and extended illness. He was born May 30, 1984 in Cumberland County, North Carolina to Allen Andrew Neal and Rita L. (Dishman) Neal.

He was a 2002 graduate of New Castle High School and was employed at Guerrero Builders in Rockfish, North Carolina. He loved his dogs and was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers fan. He had been involved in Mixed Martial Arts and loved visiting the ocean. A very loving young man, Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Allen (Micki) Neal of New Castle; mother, Rita Dishman Neal of New Castle; brother, Matthew Neal of New Castle; sister, Autumn (Cory) Eaton of New Castle; half sister, Alicia Hunt of New Castle; paternal grandparents, Kay and Rene Guerrero of Rockfish, NC; aunts and uncles, Susan Adkins of New Castle, Greg Neal of Rockfish, NC, Russell and Teresa Dishman of New Castle; special grandparents, Jim and Jerrie Wood of New Castle; nieces and nephews, Ashlyn Neal, McKaleigh, Keira, and Travis Eaton; cousins, Whitney Bowers, Scott Neal, Seth Neal and Jacob Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Glenna Dishman; paternal grandfather, Albert “Doc” Neal.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
