Sandra Sue Bunner Dinkins, 64, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 3, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 12, 1946 in Henry County, Indiana, a daughter of Joyce (Bowers) Bunner of New Castle and the late Paul Bunner.
She had been employed at New Castle State Developmental Center and Brooks canning factory in Mt. Summit. She had also worked at Hardees where she was known for her mouth watering biscuits. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and formerly Moose Ladies Auxiliary. Sandy was a sister of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church. She was well known as Bozetta the clown and received a diploma from Clowns & Company. She loved mushroom hunting and was a dedicated Bingo player. A true kid at heart, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping and gave goodwill to all.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: one daughter: Tracy Victoria (husband: Richard) Hawk of New Castle; one son: Timothy Lee Dinkins (special friend: Melissa Ward) of New Castle; a very special granddaughter: Aria Richelle Hawk (special friend: Nathan Abernathy) of New Castle; one sister: Sharron (husband: Larry) Rowe of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins; family pet: Lilybell and granddog: Holly Hawk.
She was preceded in death by sister & brother-in-law: Charles & Joann Williams and a nephew: Charles "Bubby" Williams.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jeff Landon officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 5-8 pm. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
