Sandra Annette Hale

Sandra Annette (Rhodes) Hale, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Woodland Terrace of New Palestine. On September 1, 1945, she was born in Canton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Margaret “Evelyn” (Cook) Rhodes.

 Sandra graduated from Cherokee High School in Canton, Georgia. She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sandra’s passions included tending to her beautiful flower gardens, singing, and playing the piano. She cherished her time at the beach, collecting seashells, and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

 A resilient spirit, Sandra was a three-time cancer survivor. She was a longtime member of the Walnut Ridge Friends Meeting in Carthage and a proud participant in the Homemakers on the Go ladies’ home ec group. Sandra was known for her love of shopping, her appreciation for jewelry, and her radiant smile. Always impeccably dressed, she was ready to embrace life with enthusiasm and grace.

 Sandra is survived by her daughter: Stephanie (husband, Eric) Ramey of Strawberry Plains, TN; her son: Brad (wife, Anita) Hale of Morristown; a granddaughter: Clara Hale of Morristown; sisters-in-law, Sue Hale of Janesville, WI, Kay Hale of Beloit, WI and Bonnie LaFleur of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Roger L. Hale.

Services will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Bruce Banister officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or Susan G. Komen at www.komen.org.
