Sandra Sue (Gorman) Kendall, age 70 of Middletown, formerly of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Middletown. She was born September 5, 1941 in Henry County, Indiana to Ralph and Margaret (Davis) Gorman.
She had worked at Jacobs Ace Hardware and Redelman’s Hardware in New Castle. She was a member of the First Bible Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed making crafts.
Survivors include two daughters, Teresa “Teri” (husband, Bruce) Massengale of Sulphur Springs and Lisa (husband, Kelly) Keene of Lebanon, TN; five grandchildren, Bryan (wife, Tiffany) Kendall, Kyle Atkins, KaSandra Keene, Kaleb Keene and Katelynn Keene; three great grandchildren, Lyra, Bryan, Jr. and Brayden Kendall; her mother, Margaret Gorman of New Castle; a brother, David (wife, Jane) Gorman of Greenwood; a sister, Melinda (husband, Junior) Vaughn of North Carolina; a niece, Jamey Duffy of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Gorman and a son, Glenn Scott Kendall.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Kevin Flanigan officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery near Middletown. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday, April 2, 2012 at the funeral home.
