Sandra "Sandy" Shipley

Sandra “Sandy” Shipley, 70, of New Castle passed away on Tuesday December 5, 2023, at her home. She was born on August 19, 1953, in Tennessee to Phyllis (Padgett) Hannon.
Sandy was a kind lady who enjoyed being around and socializing with everyone. She was very family oriented and would do anything for her children and extended family. Sandy spent many years taking care of her mother.
She is survived by her daughter/granddaughter, Alexis Shipley; son Larry Shipley; mother, Phyllis Hannon; brothers, Frank Purnell, Bill Hannon, Joe Hannon and Rodney Hannon; along with several nieces and nephews.
Sandy is preceded in death by her father, Franklin Purnell; stepfather, William Hannon Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at First Christian Church 2000 Bundy Ave., New Castle IN 47362.
