Sandrae` Sue Lovett, age 79, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services in Anderson after an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1936 in Shirley, Indiana to the late Marvin Woodrow and Mildred Ruth (Anderson Delph) Lovett.
She retired from Delco Remy following 25 years of service and was a member of UAW 662.
Sandrae' was a loyal supporter of WFYI Public TV and Ball State University. Sandrae` loved trains and dreamed of traveling to Europe. She loved flowers, books, shopping and hats, and wrote novellas, her favorite entitled “Moonglow”. Sandrae’ enjoyed stimulating discussions with many questions and had a quick wit. She loved her Catholic faith which sustained her through many difficulties and challenges, and chose the name "St. Francis of Assisi" at her confirmation.
She leaves behind many friends who cared for her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Alfa Gertrude “Grudy”, and Judge Bickel Anderson and Elmer Edgar Anderson.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services, 1345 N Madison Ave, Anderson, IN 46011. Rev. Msgr. Robert Sell, Sandrae’s pastor at St. Mary Church, Anderson, will officiate. Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
