Sara Alice McIntosh

Sara Alice Wilson McIntosh, 73, formerly of Huntington, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. She was born May 22, 1938 in Russell County, KY a daughter of George Harrison and Martha Catherine Wilson.
She and her husband were Ham Radio operators and attended several Hamfests. She loved spending time with her family as well as neighborhood gatherings.
She is survived by two brothers: Ned (wife, Susie) Wilson of Dunreith and Eugene Wilson of Carthage; two sisters: Jeanette (husband, Carlo) Hooker and Josephine Buckley both of Knightstown; several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Thomas “Buddy” McIntosh in 2009; children: Cathy and Allen McIntosh; a brother: Arva Wilson and two sisters: Vickie Harris and Juanita McIntosh.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Cancer Society c/o Rosemary Muncy, 1909 Walnut Street, New Castle, IN 47362.
