Scott Alan Blevins

August 18, 1964 — October 6, 2013

Scott Blevins was born August 18th 1964 in New Castle Indiana. Scott attended Tri High Jr. Sr. High School for 2 years and graduated in 1983. After graduating from high school, he attended Florida State University and graduated from Fort Lauderdale Art Institute where he studied Graphic Design and earned a degree in commercial graphic and advertising. Scott worked several years in Boca Raton, Florida in the advertising and marketing business, and in the travel nurse field including RN network. He then worked designing print ads where many were published nationally. He spent his school year summers in Indiana with family. So it didn't take him long before he wanted to go back to Indiana. On returning to Indiana Scott began making handmade stoneware pottery with a lifelong friend and the two of them formed Willow's Keep Pottery. Scott's passion for the pottery gave him the opportunity to travel to art shows and Civil War Reenactments across the state of Indiana. Scott has sold pottery to people from all over the U.S. and in several countries. One of Scott's other passions was attending Civil War reenactments all over Indiana. His love of history and art was something he loved to share with everyone. One of Scott's favorite Buddist quote is, "I believe in the underlying beliefs of Buddhism that nothing is perfect, nothing lasts, and nothing is ever finished."
