Sharon Gardner, age 64 of Spiceland, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1945 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Walter and Pauline (Stewart) Starbuck.
She was a longtime member of Spiceland Friends Meeting. She enjoyed taking care of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James R. Gardner of Spiceland; children, Mike Gardner, Lisa Gardner and Lori Gardner all of Spiceland; step-daughter, Rita (husband, Bob) McAllister of Troy, OH; three grandchildren, Shawna, Katelynn and Andrew McAllister all of Troy, OH; cousin, Bob Stewart of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Zachary M. Gardner.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with David Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 4567 Progress Dr., Columbus, IN 47201 or Henry County Hospice, 798 N. 16th St., New Castle, IN 47362 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
