Sharon Harmon

September 16, 1953 — July 10, 2010

Sharon M. Harmon, age 56, entered eternal life Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital following an extended illness. She was born September 16, 1953 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Oral and Eliza (Brown) Witham.

A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed gardening. She attended Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. Sharon was liked by her past co-workers, caregivers and had a great report with the nurses and hospital staff at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson.

Survivors include her husband: Kenny Harmon of New Castle; one son: Rick (wife: Jennifer) Mofield and their children Alyssa & Jeffrey of New Castle; three sisters: Gerri (husband: Garth) Reynolds of Pendleton, Shirley (husband: Rev. David) Perry of New Castle and Norma Jean (husband: Richard) Smith of New Castle; four brothers: Jimmy (wife: Linda) Witham of Crawfordsville, Dewey (wife: Lois) Witham of New Castle, Keith (wife: Kay) Witham of Pendleton and David (wife: Nancy) Witham of Cambridge City; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins; and her Yorkie: Sophie.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a niece: Dawn Pentecost a brother-in-law: Gene Haynes, and a sister in law, Carolyn Witham.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend David Perry officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
