Sharon Kay Miller

Sharon Kay Miller, 67, of Knightstown passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 14, 1957, in New Castle to the late Paul and Wanda (Hicks) Murray.

A 1975 graduate of New Castle High School Sharon went on to serve her Country in the Army National Guard for over 24 years retiring with the rank of Sergeant in 2002. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Colts, Pacers, IU Basketball and Notre Dame Football. Sharon loved spending time with her grandkids and going to the casino with her friends. She had a love for gardening, cooking, going to the beach and watching murder mystery shows like Perry Mason and Matlock. Sharon’s Faith was very important to her and showed that with a serving and giving heart.

Sharon is survived by her son, Brandon (Cassie) Keener; grandchildren, Caleb, Jolie and Parker; sisters, Marla (Frank) Allen and Teri Hamilton; brother, Jimmy (JoAnn) Murray; best friend for over 64 years, Jill Marlow; special niece, Raven Allen.

In addition to her parents Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Goans; grandparents, Harold and Opal Hicks.

A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
