Shawn Edward Orr

Shawn Edward Orr, 56, of Knightstown, passed away February 8, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born July 2, 1965 in Rushville the son of Glenn and Shirley (Johnson) Orr.

Shawn was a family man, loved hockey and collected transformers. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburg Penguins. He loved nature and enjoyed canoeing, camping and fishing in Canada and Minnesota with his father and grandfather. One of his favorite vacation spots was camping and exploring along the North shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Shawn also had an interest in military history, specifically World War II.

Shawn was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church for many years and had just decided to become a member of Carthage Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Orr; father, Glenn Orr; three children, Brianna Orr, Barrett Orr and Everett Orr; one grandchild, Lorelai Cross; mother and father-in-law, Leah and Norman Snowden; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Al Harwood; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Amber Snowden; several nephews, great nephew, great niece and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Orr and his first wife, Megan Brown
