Sherry A. Vaughn

Sherry A. Vaughn, 70, of New Castle passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born September 2, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana, a daughter of the late William and Elva (Blevins) Hollars.

Sherry was a member of South Side Nazarene Church, where she was active with the kids groups, the kids loved her. Sherry loved her family and was very active in everything she did and never knew a stranger. She would give the shirt off her back to help anyone.She was an encouragement to others in her own hardships.

She is survived by a son, Todd (Michelle) Vaughn of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Zachery Vaughn and Ross Vaughn both of Pendleton, Seth Vaughn of Wisconsin; siblings, Barbara Howard of New Castle, Jerry (Joy) Hollars of Markleville, Susan (Jim) Keever of New Castle Jannie Ketring of Cambridge City and Larry (Chris) Hollars of Manilla; special friend, Leon Kennedy; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Vaughn; son, Cory Ryan Vaughn; sister, Beverly Pummell; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Howard and Phil Ketring.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Melinda Tooley officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
