Stanley Turner

Stanley Turner, 85 of New Castle passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Ball Hospital in Muncie following a brief illness. He was born August 30, 1927 in Floyd County, Virginia, a son of the late Samuel J. and Gilly (Radford) Turner.
He loved camping, fishing and gardening. Stanley retired from Ingersol Steel.
Survivors include his wife: Ruth Turner of New Castle whom he married March 12, 1949; two children: Sona (husband, Randy) Lowder of New Castle and Stanley W. (wife, Dixie) Turner of Mooreland; two grandchildren: Jenny (husband, Scott) Crawford of New Castle and Randy (wife, Amber) Lowder, Jr. of Greenfield; three great grandchildren; a sister: Christine (husband, Claude) Rorrer of Brookeville, Florida and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Calling will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle. Graveside services will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens in New Castle with Reverend Charles Dugger officiating. You may express condolences or share a memory of Stanley at www.hinsey-brown.com
