Steven W Boram

Steven Ward Boram, age 63, of New Castle, loving husband and father, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born April 23, 1950 in Cadiz to the late Bob and Esther (Swartz) Boram.

He was a graduate of the first senior class at Shenandoah High School in 1968. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum in 2005 after 32 years of service. He was a member of Cadiz Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping and his beloved German Sheppard Molly. He was also an avid gardener and mushroom hunter. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Betty (Jarvis) Boram; three daughters, Charrity (Jimmy) Bolander of New Castle, Jenniffer Boram (companion, Robert Lee) of New Castle and Jessicca Boram of New Castle; a brother, David (Karen) Boram of FL; two sisters, Mary Jo (Rodney) Hoover of Greenfield and Nila (Robert) Blackburn of Springport; three grandchildren, Lucas Bolander, Kaitlyn Morrow and Kesler Dennis; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Curt (Mary) Jarvis of Springport, Bobby (Kay) Jarvis of New Castle and Jack Jarvis of Muncie; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lowe of New Castle and Patty (Alan) Neal of New Castle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Iva Martin and Shirley King.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend David Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Fall Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
