Steven C. Lovegrove, age 52, of Cambridge City, Friday, passed away, October 22, 2010 in Coldwater, Michigan. He was born January 14, 1958 in Greensburg, Indiana to Loren and Lela J. (Padgett) Lovegrove.
He was employed with E.Q Trucking Company and was formerly employed with Miller Trucking, Stoops, Day & Night, and Metropolitan Environmental Company. He was a member of the NRA and Monroe Township Conservation Club. Steven enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include three children, Joshua Lovegrove, Melissa Lovegrove and Terry (wife, Chrystal) Lovegrove all of Muncie; two step daughters, Corie Corwin and Lacey Lyons both of Muncie; his parents, Loren C. and Lela J. (Padgett) Lovegrove of Muncie; his former wife, Sandy Lovegrove; two sisters, Linda L. Joseph and Lora L. (husband, David) Holmes both of Muncie; six nieces and nephews, Jessica McGrew, Shafik Joseph, Sammy Joseph, Christy Lee Pierson, Brandon Holmes and Jeremiah Holmes; special friend, Linda Herrman.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jewell I. and Oka Padgett; paternal grandparents, Dica and Herman Lovegrove all of North Vernon.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverends Joe Prewitt and David Holmes. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
