Susan Gay Byers

Susan Gay Byers, 66, of New Castle passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Hickory Creek. She was born May 16, 1950 in New Castle a daughter of the late Glen and Eva Marie (Holmes) Byers.

Susan was a very kind person who loved being at home with her family. She had worked at Raintree Industries for many years.

Susan is survived by two siblings, Barbara Stover of New Castle and Phil (Lisa) Byers of South Hill, VA; sisters-in-law, Darlene and Dorothy Byers both of New Castle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Dean and Kay Byers; brother-in-law, Paul Stover; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Byers.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Pat Byers officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
