Tammy Jo Davis

Tammy Jo Davis, 44, of Carthage, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1970 in New Castle a daughter of Jim and Betty Griffin of Carthage.

Tammy was a graduate of Knightstown High School and had worked as a caregiver for about 10 years. She had also worked as a waitress at Gus Restaurant. Tammy enjoyed going to the sale barn and loved quilting, flowers and Coca Cola. She attended Carthage Wesleyan Church. She especially enjoyed being with family, children, grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was a very loving and giving person who never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Tommy Davis of Carthage; sons, Jacob (Philishia) Davis of Knightstown, Kaleb Davis of Carthage; sisters, Angela (Glenn) Davis of Coshocton, OH, Terri Griffin of Carthage, and Jamie (Brian) Chapman of Noblesville; grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Jonas, Montana and one on the way, Darien; mother-in-law, Virginia Davis of Carthage; nieces, Sarah Davis (Tim), Heather Davis, Jenny Davis (Chris), Tiffany Lui (Justin), Lily and Piper, Alisha; nephews, Josh Davis (Ashley), Zach Davis (Angel), Daniel Griffin, K.C. Griffin, John Henry (Jessica) Davis; great nieces, Cierra, Ruthie, Kyndall, Breonna, Makenna; great nephews, Kyler, Karter, and Dylon; several aunts and uncles.

Preceded in death by grandmother, Martha White; father-in-law, Joseph Davis.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Carthage Wesleyan Church with Pastor Charles Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in Carthage Cemetery.
