Teresa Maurine Bell

Teresa M. Bell passed away peacefully at home, on June 6, 2024, surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law, granddaughters, great-granddaughters and sister after a short illness.

 

Born on December 10, 1944 to the late Robert E. Cline and Dorothy E. (Swoveland) Cline, she lived most of her life in Henry County with a Mooreland address. She was known to four generations as “Grandma Bob.” Teresa was a graduate of Union High School at Modoc, in 1962, and attended Ball State University, majoring in Home Economics. Her Passion was her family and they always came first, no matter what.

 

Teresa retired from Farm Credit Services after thirty years of seeing them through numerous restructures and name changes. She was a sixty-year member of the Henry County Extension Homemakers Association, Young Moderns Home Ec. Club. She also participated in the Purdue Extension Education Service and held all of the state positions, including President for the past two years. Teresa attended the Buck Creek Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, which was fitting with their red and purple hats as her favorite color was purple.

 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Joe Wiley of Mooreland; daughter-in-law, Jackie Bell; grandchildren, Jacob (Ciara) Johnson of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Amy (Will) Pullins of Lawrence, Meghan (Lusion) Bowlin of Mooreland and Melissa (Conner) Callow of Mooreland; Great-Grandchildren Haley (Jeremiah) Mitchell of Knightstown, Trinity Driskill, Maciah Driskill, Rielyn Johnson, and Fulton Callow of Mooreland, Finlyn Pullins of Lawrence, Reagan (Mayci) Pullins of Erie, PA, Chanell, Ean and Lukas Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC; great-great-granddaughter Brinley Allen Mitchell; sister, Cindy Farmer; brother, David (Michelle) Cline; her special friend Virgil “Butch” Bird; Many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

 

She was preceded in Death by her parents, her husband, whom she married on September 10, 1961, Robert P. Bell on July 14, 2011; her son, Richard D. Bell on June 6, 2015; her brother Rollin E. “Rocky” Cline on March 3, 2024; her brother-in-law, Nicky Bell on June 9, 1995; her father-in-law, Hobert F. Bell on December 31, 1996; her mother-in-law, O. Eullillian Bell on October 21, 2019; and son-in-law, Bruce E. Koger on September 24, 1998.

 

In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions can be made to Blountsville Fire Department and Blountsville Food Pantry, PO Box 68 Losantville, IN 47354.

 

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Kevin Whitmore officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
