Teresa “Tracy†Winters, 43, of Knightstown went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 6, 2010 unexpectedly at her residence. She was born December 14, 1966 in Ada, Oklahoma.
Tracy graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma University and was a school teacher. She grew up going to Catholic schools and had a strong Catholic faith. She enjoyed coaching cheerleading and soccer and had been a Girl Scout leader. She loved her family and her dogs and they were her main focus. Tracy was a strong, independent, good hearted woman that put other people first and she tried to make everybody happy.
She leaves to treasure her memory her husband: Eric Winters of Knightstown, daughter: Madison George (fiancé: Josh) of Stillwater, OK, son: Bryce George of Knightstown, daughter: Abigail Winters of Knightstown, brother-in-law: Bob (wife: Janice) Schaeffer of Knightstown, sisters-in-law: Susan Van Hoy of Knightstown and Jane (husband: Mel) Matlock of Knightstown, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Bobbie Sherrell.
Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Sister Shirley Gerth officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Humane Society/Animal Shelter with envelopes available at the funeral home.
