Terry W. Bevans

Terry W. Bevans, 63, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born January 25, 1959 in New Castle, a son of Jerry and Alice I. (Burris) Bevans.

Terry had worked for the City of New Castle, and was presently working at the Water Treatment Dept. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, wood working, camping and playing his guitar. More than anything, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with them.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty years, Lisa Bevans of New Castle; three children, Jason (Brooke) Bevans of New Castle, Eric (Christy) Bevans of Middletown, and Kalie (Kyle) Ellis of Spiceland; thirteen grandchildren, Jennalyn (Cody) Howard, Jaycie Bevans, Callie Bevans, Jaxen Bevans, Blaine Bevans, Karson Firle, Ryder Ellis, Cambrie Bevans, Bayleigh Ellis, Hunter Firle, Ellys Bevans, and Blayklie Bevans; his mother, Alice Irene Bevans of New Castle; a brother, Jerry Bevans of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; brother in law, Allen (Tracy) Johnson of New Castle; sister-in-law, Kim (Brian) Clemons of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bevans; brother, Gerry Bevans, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Trieschman.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
