Terry "Diz" Disbro

July 21, 1957 — March 11, 2010

Terry W. “Diz” Disbro, 52, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 11, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 21, 1957 in New Castle the son of Charles F. and Imogene (Owens) Disbro.

He was a 1975 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, where he was most remembered as the school mascot, the Spirit Man. Terry had been employed at Ponderosa, Henry County Hospital, Western Southern Insurance Company in Muncie and most recently at the American Legion Golf Course. He was a past member of the Sons of the American Legion and had coached softball in the Men’s Industrial Leagues. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed all sports.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Rosemary (Neal) Disbro of New Castle; a brother: Steve (wife: Barbara) Disbro of New Castle; niece: Jennifer (husband: Michael) Loveless of New Castle; great nephew: Aidan Loveless of New Castle; three brothers-in-law: Jim (wife: Lillian) Neal of Fredrickstown, MO, Roger (wife: Annette) Neal of Hagerstown, Victor (wife: Tammy) Neal of Hagerstown; additional nieces and nephews: Marquita Swafford of Rock Hill, SC, Robyn (husband: William) Smith of Greenfield, Jeremy Neal of Rock Hill, SC, Rosella Neal of Spiceland, Billy Neal of New Castle; several great nieces and nephews; four cousins: Donnie (wife: Marquita) Groce, Dennis Stephens, Dale (wife: Vicky) Groce, and April Deweese all of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Imogene Disbro; grandparents; mother-in-law: Ella Neal; aunts: Eva Dean Gann and Margaret Colleen Stephens.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 15, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Roger Neal officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
