Terry W. Madison, 64 of Mooreland, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at IU Ball Hospital in Muncie. He was born February 29, 1952 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Charles and Betty (Lee) Madison.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation following 30 years of service, and later became an auctioneer. Terry graduated in one of the first classes of Tri High School in 1970. He was known by a lot of people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved fishing with his grandsons. He referred to his granddaughters as “Papaw’s Girls.” He was an outdoorsman, loved mowing, and tinkering in the garage. He also enjoyed napping on his porch swing and scratching off lottery tickets. Terry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his children, Lisa Madison of Mooreland, Randy (Sarah) Madison of Springport and April (Alan) Kemper of Alexandria; grandchildren, Dakota, Emilee, Brent, Tyler, Trevor, and Maci Madison, Madison, Eleanor, and Bennett Kemper; siblings Glenn (Cindy) Madison of GA, Jeff (Esther) Madison of Middletown; sister-in-law, Claudia Madison of New Castle; mother-in-law, Norma Bennett of New Castle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Madison; father-in-law, Ermel Bennett; brother, Rex Madison.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle, with Pastor Paul Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
