Thelma L. (Jackson) Gossage, 80, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her home. She was born September 11, 1939 in Elwood, IN to the late Ralph Raymond and Gladys May (Minniear) Jackson, Sr.
Thelma had been employed at Memorial Park as a Ranger and also at Becker Bros. Master Market for many years. A lifelong member of the VFW, she attended Mt. Summit Christian Church. Thelma was also a member of the Eagles Lodge where she served as vice president and was an officer in the Moose Lodge. An avid Colts football fan, Thelma enjoyed BINGO, dancing, motorcycle riding and animals.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Laurie Ann Davis, Ronald R. Gossage and Tina Louise Fox, all of New Castle and Robert Allen Gossage of Florida; siblings: Robert A. Jackson of Elwood, Doris N. Stover and Claude Jackson, both of Elkhart, Alva (Kathy) Jackson of Kokomo, Melvin Jackson of Anderson and Everett Jackson (Danny Wheeler)of Elkhart; grandchildren: Clint, Jamie(Adam), Kelsie (fiancé: Ethan), Dakota, Robert, Brentney, Lela, Josh and Japheth; Great grandchildren: Jaycob, Maverick, Clara, Avonlee and Adalynn; special family: Kristi Carmack; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Robert “Bob” Gossage and siblings: Josephine, Jack, Jane, June, Wendell, Joan, Jim, Jenny, Ralph, Jr., Larry and Gary.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bill Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12 at the funeral home.
