Theodore Lee "Ted" Taflinger

Theodore Lee “Ted” Taflinger, 64, of Springport passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1958 in Springport, Indiana, a son of the late Jack and Norma (Babylon) Taflinger.

A 1976 graduate of Blue River Valley High School, Ted was a livestock dealer his entire life. He formerly owned Bulls & Boars and T & T Livestock in Springport and had also worked at the Knightstown Sale Barn. Ted enjoyed NASCAR races, Indianapolis Colts Football, horse races, riding 4 wheelers, motorcycles, dirt bikes and especially traveling to sale barns.

Survivors include his fiancé, Hope Logston of Springport; two nieces, Abigayle Taflinger of Middletown and Samantha Taflinger of Modoc; Hopes children, Jeremiah Logston of New Castle, Elijah Logston of Springport and Angela Ellis of Beech Grove; Hopes grandchildren, Makiya and Kole Grubbs, both of New Castle and Reagan Ellis of Beech Grove; and cousins, Sandy (Trent) Bush of Parker City and Cindy Harris of Lady Lake, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a sister, Constance Jo “Connie” Ashley; grandparents, Simon and Evangeline Taflinger; and an uncle, Richard “Red” Taflinger.

A Celebration of Life will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Eugene McComas officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
