Tonya Lane Mummert

Tonya Lane Mummert, 46, of Union City, Oh passed away at her daughter’s home Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born January 6, 1967 in New Castle the daughter of Billy Gene and Wanda Lee (Shelton) Redwine.

She attended New Castle Schools and received her GED April 29, 1997. She was a former employee of New Castle Foam Rubber, Bill’s Diner and Cardinal Home Healthcare in New Castle. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter: Brandy (husband, Ramon) Baxin of Union City, OH; 3 stepsons: Johnny A. (wife, Brittany) Reno of New Castle, Ryan Reno (companion: Leslie Utt) of Lewisville, Casey Beckner of New Castle; stepdaughter: Shawna Malone (companion: Angy Poindexter) of New Castle; 8 grandchildren: Anthony, Adriana, Devin, Brodie, Ricky, Jr., Cody, Clayton and Logan; special friends: Arielle Hayes of Cincinnati, OH, John & Cindy Harrison of Union City, OH, John & Judy Reno of New Castle, Mary Overton of New Castle, Thelma Gossage of New Castle and Fergy of New Castle; 4 sisters: Rebecca (husband, Ed) Collier of New Castle, Angie Sutton (companion: Stewart), Betty Reynolds, Bobbie Redwine(companion, Rick); several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son: Ricky Reno and a brother: Billy Redwine.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
