Tracie Lynn Kennedy, 67, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born February 16, 1958 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Helen M. (Wiseman) Laird.

A 1976 graduate of Chrysler High School in New Castle, Tracie worked for many years at Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit and at a factory in Morristown. She was a member of Cornerstown Church in New Castle. She enjoyed watching wrestling and collecting Unicorns.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, James Kennedy, Angel (Jeremy) Harper, and Jacob Kennedy, all of New Castle; six grandchildren, Lacey M. (Chase) Bradley, Alison Kennedy, Elysa Kennedy, Matthew Harper, Kaylin Kennedy, and Camden Kennedy; five great grandchildren, Liam Richey, Roan Richey, Lane Guffey, Chase Slover, and Hunter Kennedy; two sisters, Gayla Igo and Roxanna Hill, both of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Gracie Kennedy, and a brother, Michael Laird.

Services will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given the Tracie L. Kennedy Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown. Condolences and memories of Tracie may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.
