Tracy Earl Smalley, 63, a resident of Shirley passed away Saturday evening, September 22, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was born April 5, 1949 in Shirley to the late Woodrow W. and Celia (Whisman) Smalley.
A 1967 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army. He had been employed at Chrysler Corp., Pres Glas and Michael Bonne. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years: Mary (Redmon) Smalley, whom he married April 17, 1971; three children: Tracy W. (Candi) Smalley of Kennard, Amanda Smalley and Michael Smalley both of Shirley; 8 grandchildren: Cameron Douglas, Brady and Kailyn Harrison, Maddie Case, Makenzie and Trent Smalley, Austin and Heather Savage; 3 sisters: Lola Wolski of Shirley, Jean Fairchild of Spiceland and Jane (Ken) Fort of Georgia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: William and Lemuel Smalley.
Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
