Trixie Logan, 90, went home to be with the Lord, December 23 at Hancock Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was the daughter of William James and Annie Warbrick Bradshaw.
Born and reared in Liverpool, England, she married Odest Clyde Logan and came to America in 1945 as a British war bride. Although she maintained her love of all things British her entire life one of the proudest moments of her life was the day a judge declared her an American citizen.
She loved knitting, reading, chocolate, flowers, her multitude of friends and was an avid prayer warrior, sometimes praying for as many as 100 people--reciting each request by name first thing in the morning and the last thing before going to sleep.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her firstborn Valerie Annie Logan, and an aunt and uncle Edith and Edward Grierson who reared her after the death of her mother. Also, Barbara Grierson Holland.
Survivors include a daughter Berniece (Billy Joe) Wheeler of Tennessee, sister Jean (Hubert) Workman of Florida, and Ted and Les Grierson of England. She leaves behind special friends/caregivers Wanda and Enoch Duff, Kim and John Heim, and "grandchildren" Crystal, Leah and Derek Heim, and many friends and relatives on both sides of the Atlantic.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 28 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, 7355 South State Road 109, Knightstown with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend David Oakes officiating. Interment will be at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Memorials can be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences and memories of Trixie may be shared at
