Vada E. Collins, age 90, of Mount Summit, passed away on April 24, 2024, at Henry County Community Health. Born on April 10, 1934, in Farmers, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Ernest and Mary Oak (Atchison) Moody.
Vada was a diehard Kentucky Wildcat basketball and devoted NASCAR Jeff Gordon fan. Her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren, whose company always brought a smile to her face. After 31 and a half years of service, Vada retired from Brooks Foods in Mount Summit. Despite facing blindness five years ago, she maintained an unwaveringly positive attitude, never once complaining.

In addition to her parents, Vada was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Collins on 02/19/2008; daughter, Kathy Collins-Vannetta on 05/04/2019; brother, Orel Moody; sister, Edith Moody Moore.
