Violet Duvall

Violet R. Duvall, age 86, of Muncie, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Muncie Health and Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was born April 22, 1922 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Walter and Gladys (Follan) Kissick.

She was a resident of New Castle all of her life, until she moved to Muncie in 2000 to be with her son. She was a member of the True Light Baptist Church in Muncie. She loved to read, study her Bible and loved the Lord. Survivors include a son: Allen P. Duvall of Muncie; a granddaughter: Sharon K. (husband: Steve) Hollars of Monticello, KY; a grandson: Jeffery Allen (wife: Julie) Duvall of Union, Missouri; three great grandchildren: Kristen and Colton Duvall of Union, Missouri and Amber (husband: Brian) Pharis of Monticello, KY; a great-great grandson: Halen Pharis of Monticello, KY; a sister: Margaret (husband: Ben) Sprinkle of Noblesville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-great granddaughter: Haley Danyale Pharis; brothers: Robert Haler and Donald Haler; sisters: Gertrude Rhoades and Dorothy Ducey.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Dennis Trimble and Terry Hinds officiating.
