Virginia Luella Conley

Virginia Luella Conley, 92, of New Castle passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her residence. She was born January 16, 1932 in Shirley, Indiana to the late Ben and Edna (Bradley) VanDuyn.

Virginia enjoyed playing the organ and was a longtime member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her dachshunds, spending time with her family, sewing, reading and most of all driving, until the age of 91.

Virginia is survived by her children, Lois "Lynne" (Larry) Janotti, Peggy (Larry) Bash, Roger (Teresa) Conley, Richard Conley and Loretta (Arville) Francisco; son-in-law, Clinton Pitts; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many longtime friends.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Conley; children, June Howard, Greg Conley and Jeannette Pitts; a son-in-law, Mike Nash; two siblings, Everett VanDuyn and Ernie VanDuyn.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Harlan Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Drive, New Castle, IN 47362.
