Virginia Sue Roseberry

Virginia Sue Roseberry, age 75, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Henry County Hospital following a brief illness. She was born May 1, 1935 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Tommy DeHart and Mae (Oney) DeHart.

Sue worked at Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit for 18 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #116; loved to play BINGO, enjoyed hot air balloon rides, and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and also her animals. She was a member of the Ninth Street Church of God.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Toni Lynn (husband, Kenneth) Ward of New Castle; two sons, Terry Lee (wife, Cindy) Roseberry of Versailles, KY and Timothy Lee (wife, Sarah) Roseberry of Kokomo. Also, seven grandchildren, Sheena, Shylia, and Skylar Ward, Eric, Jill, Kate, Scott, and Delaney Roseberry; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Denzel Dicken of New Castle, Sharon (husband, John) Rodenmayer of Columbus, OH, Lou Neal of New Castle, Kathy (husband, Woody) Woodard of Oklahoma; a brother, Gary (wife, Sandy) Clark of London, OH; several nieces and nephews; sister- in -law, Irene Conley; brother-in-law, Don Viars of New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Roseberry in 2001; her father and mother, Tommy DeHart and Mae (Oney) Rigney; four sisters, Mary Freda Conley, Renee Ellen DeHart, Reba Caudill, and Edith Viars; four brothers, Bill Conley, Carlos Clark, Charles Conley, and William DeHart; a grandson, Brock Roseberry; two brothers-in-law, Floyd Dicken and Donnie Robinson.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend Rick Evans officiating. Sue’s granddaughter, Shylia will be singing “Jesus Take The Wheel”. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens in New Castle. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home, with an Order of Eastern Star service at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the City of God Church, 611 West St., Lafayette, IN 47905, www.cogchurch.org ., which is pastored by her grandson, Eric Roseberry.
