Walter B. Judd, 70, of Carthage passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 13, 1939 in Fairfax, OH.
He retired from the U.S.Army in 1978 and the U.S. postal Service. He served as a military policeman and was third in command in the provost marshall’s office at Fort Benjamin Harrison. He was awarded the soldiers medal for heroism and was a member of the VFW. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing. He was always willing to help anyone in need and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by four children: Michael W. (wife: Debbie) Judd of Indianapolis; Cory T. (wife: Kelly) Judd of Knightstown; Heather (husband: Chuck) Stephens of Carthage; Matthew B. Judd of Carthage; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara (husband: John) Butler of Detroit, MI; Joanne White of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a granddaughter.
Service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 30 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Carthage.
