Wanda Perry Carmack, 100, a lifelong resident of Henry County passed away Thursday, January 08, 2015 at Henry County Hospital. She was born March 21, 1914 in Henry County, Indiana a daughter of the late Ira Elmer and Elnora (Lannerd) Perry.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in New Castle and AARP. Wanda was a private nanny for several years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Couch of New Castle; one son, Curtis (wife, Connie) Carmack of Walnut Ridge, AK; four grandchildren, Teresa (husband, Michael) Ousley of Ft. Wayne, Tammi (husband, Kevin) Imel of New Castle, Candi (husband, Rick) Reeves of Kingsland, Texas and Marshall Anderson of Texas; great grandchildren, Daniel Wright (fiancé, Kelsey Ray) of North Carolina, Jordan Wright of Marion, Nicholas Wright of Ft. Wayne, Gabriella Wright of Ft. Wayne, Jayda Mackenzie Day of New Castle, Jacob Imel of New Castle and Chelsea Reeves along with her daughter Summer Reeves of Kingsland, TX and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Francis "Mack" Carmack; three sisters, Amy Shaw, Theo Blaylock & Ruth Gordon; and five brothers, Trever, Eugene, Merle, Arnold and Philip Perry.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Tom McGilliard officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Wanda may be shared at
