Wes Avery Emerson

Wes Avery Emerson, 21, of Knightstown passed away on Sunday November 27, 2022, in Rush County. He was born December 23, 2000, in Greenfield to Doug and Staci (Bridges) Emerson.

He was a 2020 graduate of Knightstown High School. Wes cherished spending time with his family and friends and always made sure they had fun together. He was a funny kid and always looked for an opportunity to get little gifts for loved ones.

Wes enjoyed celebrating the holidays and was always over the top and detail oriented on everything he did during that time. He loved anything vintage, thrift shopping, playing board games and taking care of his cats and dog Karma.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Staci Emerson; brothers, Sy (Amanda Bowers) Emerson and Seth (Makenna Leisure) Emerson; maternal grandparents, Marlene and Gary Wampler; paternal grandfather, Floyd Emerson; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Wes is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandy Emerson; grandfather, Ron Bridges; great grandparents, Lowell and JoAnn Bridges, Bob and Margie Wampler, Corda Ratliff; uncle, Ty Bridges.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Matthew Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday.
