Wesley “Dale” Owens, 69, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 3, 1953 in Albany, Kentucky, a son of the late Wesley Dewey and Evydean (Hyso) Owens.
Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1971-1974, and served in Vietnam. He retired from Allegany Ludlum and made lasting friendships, where he was known as the “workhorse”. Dale was a man who loved to laugh and make others laugh. The legacy he leaves behind is the love he had for his family. His daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren loved him dearly. Dale always had the open door policy and would joke that he needed a vacancy and no vacancy sign.
He loved nature and visiting new places and loved listening to music from the song,” He Went To Paris”, “Some of it’s magic and some of it’s tragic, but he had a good life all the way.”
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Linda “Kay” (Cummings) Owens; children, Anissa Marsh, Amanda (Dan Jones)Olson; forever sons-in-law, Clay Marsh and Leif Olson; grandchildren, Taylor Marsh, Megan Marsh, Garett Marsh, Bailey Olson, Payton Marsh and Erika Olson; great grandchildren, London Marsh, Lincoln Factor and Charli Factor; siblings; Sue Gregory (Chris), Jamie (Diana) Owens and Joey (Debbie) Owens; several nieces & nephews; and special lifelong friends, Keith (Vickey) Waggoner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darryl Owens and a sister, Phyllis Owens.
