Wilda “Faye” Jessee, 80, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. She was born October 25, 1939 in Murl, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Carlos and Ruby (Stringer) Bell.
A homemaker, she was a longtime member of the 9th Street Church of God. Faye enjoyed quilting and cooking. She had a great love for the many children she cared for over the years.
Survivors include four children, Dave (Priscilla) Jessee, Donna (Phil) Miers, Sandy Kelley and Linda (Tom) Gielow; grandchildren, David Snodgrass, Crystal Fletcher, Cindy Jacobs, Zach Jessee, Steven Stonerock, Virgil Kelley III, and Shannon Stinson; many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother, Jimmy (Debbie) Bell; one sister, Linda Miers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha “Midge” Curry and two brothers, Bobby and Ray Bell.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center for their care during Faye’s stay.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rick and Elwood Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Christian Cemetery in Springport. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.
