William “Donald” Hogan, 88 passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Indianapolis. He was born on January 6, 1936 in Scottsville, KY to the late Sam and Bernice (Gaines) Hogan.
Donald lived in Indianapolis through his teen years and moved to New York, New York where he played semi pro football and became a pastry chef for Bloomfield’s. He resided in New York for 20 years. He moved back to Indianapolis in 1987 upon returning he owned and operated Uncle D’s Seafood House. He met his wife Terri in 2002; they resided in Indianapolis together and legally married on October 18, 2012 in Tampa, Florida. Donald was loved by so many; he will always be remembered for his love of jazz music and his cooking and baking skills, but most of all his big vibrant and fun personality.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Hogan; sister, Ella (Will) Baylam; father-in-law, Robert (Nancy) Morgan; sister-in-law, Sherri Holland; brothers-in-law, Tim (Dawn) Morgan and Jeff (Wendi) Morgan; stepson, Kevin Roberts, Jr.; stepdaughter, Stephanie Roberts; grandchildren, Chiann and Shinay Kilpatrick, Kimora Moore, Elijah, Jaeden and Gavin Roberts and Miles Campbell; lots of nieces and nephews and his fur baby, Judy who he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Sukari A. Hogan; sisters, Doris Hogan-Boswell and Ruth Starks.
Services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home-Decatur Township in Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Funeral Service.
