William “Bill” “Smoky” Kendall, 80, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at Henry Community Health following a brief illness. He was born September 28, 1941 in New Castle to the late Willard and Arl Kendall.
Bill retired from Chrysler Corp. following 32 years of service. He enjoyed John Deere tractors, farming, camping, yard work and watching the tractor pulls at the Mooreland Free Fair. Bill was also a member of the Whitewater Valley Antique Truck and Tractor Club.
He is survived by his children, Barbie (Chris) Baker and William (Kaye) Kendall; grandchildren, Jenna (Jacob) Hobbs, Christopher (Erica) Robbins, Angel (David) Teague, Zachary Downam, Mariah and Austin Kendall; great grandchildren, Sophia, Miley, Hailey, Parker, Connor, Lilly and Hunter; step son, Michael (Ronda) Reeves; step grandchildren, Marshall, Sage and Chase Reeves; nieces, Missy (Josh) Beem, Krista Keith, Sandy Whitehead and Lisa (Johnnie) Huddelston.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kay Kendall on May 31, 2011; special friends, Terry Wilson and Kennard Landreth.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at First Baptist Church in New Castle with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Services have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
