William McQueen

April 19, 1931 — January 4, 2009

William B. “Pops” McQueen, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1931 in Columbus, OH the son of Bruce and Mary Elizabeth (Hammock) McQueen.

A member of the Moose Lodge and Baptist Church, he loved fishing, karaoke, poker and bingo.

He is survived by children: Vickey (husband: Tony) Ritchie of Kennard; Joyce (husband: Earl) Hammons of Indianapolis; Lauretta Dillon of Indianapolis; Billy (wife: Nicole) McQueen of New Palestine; Brucie Johnson of Indianapolis; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister: Hazel McQueen of Hillard, OH ; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Ida Krivda and Many Ann Wilkinson; grandson: Earl Adams and great grandson Zachary Gard.

Services will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Rev. Jack Hannum officiating. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be at 12 noon, Thursday, January 8, 2009 in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Columbus, OH. Online condolences may be made at www.hinsey-brown.com .
